The Challenge
Enterprises have long trusted HCL Domino to build business-critical applications for collaboration, workflow management, internal knowledge sharing, and more. With the rise of generative AI, enterprises wanted more innovative ways to interact with their data for enhanced productivity. However, one primary concern stood in the way: data privacy. Organizations were hesitant to connect their HCL Domino environment to commercial AI platforms such as ChatGPT, fearing data leakage and regulatory non-compliance. Enterprises needed a way to bring AI to their data, without letting their data go.

The Solution
To help HCL Domino users adopt generative AI without compromising enterprise data security, KMSLab has built K-GPT, an enterprise-grade modular AI solution that integrates with Domino IQ (the native AI innovation on the HCL Domino platform), enabling secure, domain-specific AI capabilities within the Domino environment.
Built on HCL Domino IQ, KMSLab’s K-GPT is fundamentally a domain-specific GPT that delivers generative AI capabilities within the Domino environment without exposing sensitive company data. It also allows connecting Domino-based applications to commercial AI platforms like ChatGPT, other internal or external LLMs, again without exposing confidential enterprise data to external environment.
The Results
With generative AI capabilities seamlessly embedded in their Domino environment, HCL Domino users now experience a significant boost in productivity. Business users can automatically summarize emails, handle approval documents faster, and easily retrieve internal knowledge through natural language queries.
