ISO 27018 is an internationally recognized standard that focuses on the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in cloud computing environments. While primarily designed for cloud service providers, the principles and best practices outlined in ISO 27018 can be extended to any organization handling personal data.
Attaining the ISO 27018 certification required a comprehensive evaluation of our data privacy practices and information security controls. Over the last few years, the Support team worked diligently to review and further enhance our privacy practices by aligning them with the requirements outlined in ISO 27018.
We underwent an in-depth audit conducted by an independent audit firm, Bureau Veritas. The audit encompassed various aspects, including data processing, access controls, data retention, transparency, data subject rights process and many more. Our partnerships and collaborations with cross functional teams, like our HCLSoftware Privacy team, and our HCLSoftware Security and Compliance team enabled us to demonstrate sufficient and appropriate controls across all parameters audited as per the ISO 27018 standard.
