HCL Volt MX Go Accelerates App Modernization by 60% for HCL Domino customers
Publish Date: July 24, 2023
HCLSoftware announced today the release of Volt MX Go v2.0, the best solution to modernize over 10 million business-critical apps running on HCL Domino, its secure rapid application development and email platform. Volt MX Go is now available to more than 10,000 Domino customers looking to extend or modernize their existing apps in half the time, risk, and cost of a total rewrite.
Powered by Volt MX, the industry-leading low-code multiexperience platform for both professional and citizen developers, Volt MX Go enables customers to:
- Transform Domino apps with modern user interfaces and enhanced user experiences without starting from scratch, thereby reducing cost.
- Extend apps as native multiexperience apps to deliver engaging experiences across mobile, desktops, tablets, wearables, and more, with one single code stream saving time.
- Enhance apps with the latest technologies and add-ons, such as AR/VR and even AI chatbots, without additional complexity.
Volt MX Go adds unique technology to Volt MX that automates up to 60% of the labor needed to extend Domino apps while retaining existing business logic to deploy a native cloud-ready solution. Customers with Notes and Domino versions 9.0.x and 10.0.x (which will reach end of support (EOS) on June 1, 2024) now have another pathway for their modernization and migration projects.
“Traditionally, many app modernization projects fail due to complexity or cost overruns,” said Richard Jefts, Executive Vice President, HCLSoftware. “We knew we needed another approach for our Domino customers to keep their apps running in production without the fear of disruption and re-platforming. With Volt MX Go, developers can reuse the app’s data, UX design, and business logic on their terms, allowing customers to confidently embrace the benefits of modernization, while minimizing risks and maximizing their return on investment in Domino.”
