As we reach the end of 2025, the HCL AppScan team has been reflecting on the many conversations, relationships, and ideas that shaped our year. We participated in a wide range of conferences worldwide, each offering a fresh perspective on how organizations are addressing security challenges in an increasingly digital world. While we attended many events, the following moments stand out as especially meaningful to our team.
RSA Conference USA 2025 — San Francisco

We began the year at the RSA Conference, one of the most recognizable gatherings in cybersecurity. The 2025 event placed a strong emphasis on the realities of AI-driven threats, cloud security, and the pressure organizations feel to modernize their development pipelines. Throughout the week, we met with practitioners, leaders, and researchers who shared the everyday challenges of securing applications at scale. RSA continues to be a place where we learn as much as we share, and it sets a strong tone for the rest of our year.
Cybertech Taiwan — Taipei
Soon after RSA, we traveled to Taipei for Cybertech Taiwan. The event offered a close look at the cybersecurity needs of the APAC region, particularly as organizations expand their use of APIs, manage complex supply chains and integrate hardware and software at lightning speed. Speaking directly with teams at different stages of their AppSec development gave us a clearer picture of how AppScan can support both established enterprises and fast-growing innovators across Asia.
Black Hat USA 2025 — Las Vegas
Black Hat 2025 once again proved to be one of the most technical and forward-looking events of the year. The conversations ranged from AI-assisted exploitation to modern approaches for continuous testing. Because the conference attracts both researchers and enterprise defenders, it offered a balanced view of emerging risks and practical defense strategies. It also gave us the opportunity to hear what security teams need most as they strive to keep pace with changes in the apps world.
Cybertech Europe 2025 — Italy
In the fall, our team joined leaders from government, industry, and academia in Italy for Cybertech Europe 2025. European organizations continue to navigate a complex regulatory environment, and many are prioritizing resilience and transparency as their systems grow more interconnected. The event helped us understand the specific concerns that businesses across the region are managing, especially as they invest in cloud-native architectures and face heightened compliance demands. These discussions continue to inform our approach to support and solution design for our European customers.
Microsoft Ignite 2025 — San Francisco

We ended our year with Microsoft Ignite, where cloud modernization and developer-focused security took center stage. Many of the conversations we had focused on improving productivity for development teams while also reducing risk. As more organizations adopt cloud-native technologies, having security integrated early and consistently becomes essential. AppScan’s automations and close alignment with developer workflows resonated strongly with the teams we spoke to, and Ignite provided a fitting conclusion to our year of events.
Gartner Conferences: Insights That Informed Our Strategy
In addition to major global cybersecurity conferences, our team also participated in several Gartner events that offered a different perspective on how technology and security leaders are shaping long-term strategy across their organizations.
Gartner CIO and IT Executive Conference — UAE
Attending the CIO and IT Executive Conference in the UAE gave us the opportunity to learn directly from leaders who are guiding large-scale digital transformation. Many discussions centered around balancing modernization with operational resilience. HCL AppScan’s focus on strengthening application security aligned with the themes we heard throughout the event, particularly in industries undergoing rapid change.
Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit — UK

The Security and Risk Management Summit in the UK emphasized the growing importance of visibility and governance across the application ecosystem. CISOs and security architects sought ways to manage risk without hindering innovation. Their questions and insights helped reinforce how HCL AppScan can support both compliance-driven requirements and continuous security practices.
Gartner Data and Analytics Summit — India
Rounding out our Gartner participation, the Data and Analytics Summit in India highlighted the close connection between security and data strategy. Organizations are scaling analytics, AI, and automation, and many are rethinking how to protect sensitive information while sustaining rapid growth. Conversations at this event underscored the value of developer-first tools and automated testing in environments where data moves quickly and applications emerge daily.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Each event we attended this year gave us a deeper understanding of how organizations around the world are approaching security, modernization, and digital growth. These insights continue to shape our roadmap, partnerships, and the way we support teams working to build and maintain secure applications.
As we move into 2026, we look forward to expanding our presence at global events, strengthening our relationships with customers and partners, and continuing to help organizations navigate the evolving landscape of application security.
