The newest release of HCL DevOps Test 2025.09 (v11.0.6) brings a wave of innovations designed to simplify complexity, supercharge productivity, and make every testing day exceptional.

Our newest release is here, and it's loaded with features designed to make your life easier.
Already part of the HCL DevOps Loop platform, which was released in early 2025, HCLSoftware is pleased to announce the latest version of our automated software testing portfolio, HCL DevOps Test 2025.09 (11.0.6). This powerful solution represents a significant advancement in testing methodology. Whether deployed independently or as part of the complete DevOps Loop platform, DevOps Test transforms traditional testing approaches by consolidating multiple quality assurance solutions into a single, unified platform—ultimately elevating application quality while streamlining the testing process.
Time for the good stuff now! Here is what’s packed into version 11.0.6 that’s going to make tester life easier!
Many Improvements Have Been Made to the DevOps Test Hub for UI Test Authoring.
Authoring UI tests directly into DevOps Test Hub was shipped in a recent release and is really a game changer in the way tests are performed by organizations, by bringing users to a unified single platform, and here are the most noticeable changes:
- Analysts shared that nearly 20% of users use the Safari browser, so we enabled the recording of tests using Safari.
- By being a large-scale test execution platform, Test Hub generates high volumes of test execution results data, and we like this, as this is what it is needed! However, when test results data becomes the root cause of slowdowns or performance difficulties in the cluster hosting it, we need to help our users clean up old results and maintain the amount of data stored. For this, new information has been added to the results view, allowing users to see which results are the largest immediately.

- In addition, as just pointed out, Test Hub can execute many test cases and consequently generates a large amount of data that can quickly consume system resources and put the overall system at risk. To avoid that, there is a new handy system of maintenance rules that automatically cleans up obsolete test results, ensuring that the platform maintains peak performance and availability as the testing workload scales. This proactive approach prevents system slowdowns and costly outages caused by data accumulation. Users can quickly and easily create and edit results retention rules and have them applied.

- In addition to existing AI providers like OpenAI and Ollama, support for IBM Watsonx has been added as an external AI provider. Used for test generation from designs as well as for test data generation, it reinforces the existing set of available AI providers.

Leveraging AI to Define Appropriate Data Generators
When importing a schema from an existing database, setting the appropriate data generator in the imported schema can be a tedious task. For each field of each table imported into the schema, we’re leveraging AI to help users determine which data generators could be used.

Enabling Native AI Workflows with MCP Integration
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is emerging as a standard protocol for AI-tool integration. The DevOps Test Hub now embeds an MCP Server with an initial set of tools, allowing users to seamlessly interact with the server, such as asking questions about existing tests, running them, and obtaining a results summary. When used within the DevOps Loop, the MCP server contained in the DevOps Test Hub will be useful for implementing a complex set of actions.
