Adding to this, Gartner® indicates, “By 2028, 33% of enterprise software applications will include agentic AI, up from less than 1% in 2024, enabling 15% of day-to-day work decisions to be made autonomously.” ¹ Also, “By 2028, AI agent machine customers will replace 20% of interactions at human-readable digital storefronts”. Finally, “By 2028, at least 15% of day-to-day work decisions will be made autonomously through Agentic AI, up from zero percent in 2024.” ²

This suggests that organizations are undergoing an intense incremental change as they rapidly integrate Generative AI and Agentic AI into their core operations.
